Ns120_ had an eyebrow transplant by FUT with Angela Phipps in North Carolina on 7 August 2024, about 600 grafts for $4500. At day 5 they were mildly concerned that one eyebrow was more curved than the other, but said they were just happy to have eyebrows after having almost none. The clinic told them the difference came from muscle contractions on one side of the face, and they reported the brows looked about 70% more similar after icing.

He chose a US clinic over Turkey or India to avoid travel and time off work. He called it an overall great experience and described the surgeon as kind and detailed, but said he still needs a second round for density up front and had roughly two weeks of intense burning after the procedure.

killae09 reports a Bosley procedure with Dr. Angela Phipps in Raleigh, NC in 2021, with 2600 grafts (a later thread says 2500, 1900 to the hairline and 600 to the crown) for roughly $15k. One day after, they said her team was very good and that one side of the hairline was very slightly higher. At 3 months they recommended her, saying she did a great job. At 8 months they called her and her staff excellent and professional, but said the hairline should have been dropped less and filled more to match density, and they plan a second procedure for density; commenters were split on the result.

They would rather not spend 14k again and are weighing a second, smaller procedure of about 2k grafts in the Raleigh area, having had consultations at Bosley, Jernigans and AZ Hair Restoration. They feel stumped and anxious about choosing wrongly. No graft count or date for the first procedure is given.
