Dr. Lupanzula begon zijn medische loopbaan in de acute spoedgeneeskunde en de huisartsgeneeskunde voordat hij overstapte naar haarherstel 1. Hij leidt Medikemos Clinic in Brussel en houdt ook consulten bij partnerinstellingen in het Verenigd Koninkrijk, Frankrijk en Spanje 1. Behandelingen en technieken
De kliniek werkt met een "doctor only"-model waarin Dr. Lupanzula de extractie persoonlijk uitvoert met een handmatige cilindrische mespunch van 0,8 tot 0,9 mm 4. Ze stelt dat hij geen chirurgische stappen overlaat aan technici of assistenten zonder medische opleiding 5. Technici bereiden en controleren daarna de geoogste grafts voordat ze in het ontvangende gebied worden geplaatst 4. Naast FUE noemt ze onder haar ingrepen FUT (strip), lichaamshaartransplantatie, littekencorrectie, baardtransplantatie, het verwijderen van plugs en tricopigmentatie 1.

Boeken en nazorg
Patiënten kunnen de kliniek bereiken per telefoon (aparte lijnen voor België, het Verenigd Koninkrijk en Italië) of via WhatsApp 1. De kliniek stelt dat ze geen garantie op hergroei geeft en zegt dat klinieken die dat wel beloven "are not being completely honest," terwijl ze doorgaans minder dan 5% verlies van grafts en geen enkel volledig mislukt geval in meer dan tien jaar noemt 3. Mocht de hergroei tegenvallen, dan zegt ze het geval te beoordelen en een actieplan voor te stellen, en ze voegt eraan toe dat dit nog niet is voorgekomen 3. De nazorg verloopt grotendeels op afstand: patiënten wordt gevraagd elke drie maanden foto's te sturen, zodat de kliniek het herstel kan volgen 3. Ze raadt ook supplementen met Biotin en MSM aan, en zegt dat Dr. Lupanzula de voor- en nadelen met elke patiënt persoonlijk bespreekt voordat hij het gebruik ervan adviseert 3.
Kwalificaties en lidmaatschappen
Dr. Lupanzula vermeldt een lidmaatschap van de International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) en zegt dat hij stichtend lid is van het World FUE Institute, er van 2022 tot 2024 vicepresident was en van 2024 tot 2026 president 1. De directory van de ISHRS vermeldt hem als Full Member die in 2007 lid werd 6.
De Belgische Ordre des médecins vermeldt hem als specialist in acute geneeskunde, op het Brusselse adres van de kliniek 7. Het Franse nationale register van zorgverleners (RPPS) vermeldt hem als actief arts in de huisartsgeneeskunde, met een eigen praktijk in Parijs 8. Het Britse artsenregister (GMC) vermeldt zijn artsendiploma van de Université catholique de Louvain in 2000; hij had van 2010 tot 2016 een Britse licence to practise en staat sinds januari 2017 niet meer in het Britse register 9.

Dr-Bensmir reported consulting Dr. Lupanzula in Belgium a few years earlier and said Lupanzula noted 5% donor miniaturization and estimated something like 6,000 grafts available. They had not undergone surgery and said they were still planning to do so. They did not state an overall judgment of Dr. Lupanzula.

They did not report undergoing surgery with Dr Lupanzula, nor any price, technique, outcome, or clinic-communication experience.
