Ahmad-SMILE-CLINIC reports a 5,000-graft FUE at Smile Hair Clinic in Turkey with Dr Bilgin Gokay, the Diamond package, which he gives as 5600 euro, about 7 months before posting in May 2024. He describes a 5-minute consultation with about 90 seconds on the hairline, technicians doing the extraction while the doctor was not there, a hairline placed too low on the right side and a decimated donor area. He writes "Guys, please avoid such a malpractice doctor." and later, in other threads, calls the doctor blacklisted and says he botched his transplant.

They think they paid about 2600 EUR "for the surgeon to do the incisions", and say they were quoted 12k in the US for half the grafts. Their posts run from day 11 to 6 weeks as progress photo updates, mentioning shedding and a lost graft they put down to a door hitting their head. They gave no overall verdict of their own.

They asked for Dr Gokay and got him, but say he only makes the incisions while technicians do extraction and implantation, which was their main complaint. They also note the clinic does 10-15 operations a day and upsells meds. At almost 6 months they reported 40-50% growth and density per the clinic's chart, no side effects and a donor area recovered by month 2-3, saying of the clinic team 'They were excellent.' They say Bilgin did the numbing and incisions for the first half and checked the work, while techs extracted and implanted the grafts.
