HTS Clinic in Brussel (Etterbeek) wordt gepresenteerd als eigendom van Dr. Jean Devroye, die sinds 2000 gespecialiseerd is in haarherstel, na een opleiding bij Dr. John Cole in Atlanta 1. De site van de kliniek stelt dat hij een universitair diploma in geneeskunde, chirurgie en verloskunde heeft 1. De kliniek stelt dat haar team in totaal 15 medewerkers telt 1. Een tweede arts, Camille Donabella, wordt op de homepage naast hem gepresenteerd 3.
Behandelingen en technieken
De kliniek stelt dat zij FUE- en FUT-haartransplantaties, baard- en snortransplantaties, scalp micropigmentation en medische behandelingen zoals finasteride en minoxidil aanbiedt 3. Wenkbrauwtransplantaties staan ook vermeld 2. Transplantatie van lichaamshaar wordt omschreven als een variant van FUE 7. Bij FUE doet de arts volgens de kliniek de eerste extractieronde met een hybride punch, waarna een assistent volgt met een micropincet 4. De Hybrid Tornado Punch wordt gepresenteerd als zijn eigen ontwerp uit 2016, dat snijdende en niet-snijdende stijlen combineert 5. Bij FUT worden de incisies volgens de kliniek persoonlijk gemaakt door Dr. Devroye en twee met naam genoemde collega's 6. Volgens de FAQ van de kliniek worden de grafts met de hand geplaatst met een fijn pincet of implanters 7. Dr. Devroye wordt aangehaald met het advies FUE af te raden bij vrouwen; hij geeft de voorkeur aan FUT onder de microscoop en wijst op het dunnere donorhaar bij vrouwen 7. De kliniek stelt dat sessies vaak 2.000 tot 3.000 grafts omvatten, met bij FUE een maximum van ongeveer 1.800 tot 2.000 per dag 7.

Boeken en nazorg
De kliniek stelt dat de behandeling moet worden voorafgegaan door een beoordelingsconsult, in de kliniek of online via Teams 8. Volgens de site van de kliniek hebben patiënten die in België wonen de dag voor de ingreep een preoperatief consult met Dr. Devroye; patiënten uit het buitenland komen ook de dag ervoor aan en blijven drie of vier dagen 9. De kliniek stelt dat de dag van de ingreep om 8 uur 's ochtends begint en 8 tot 10 uur duurt, met een lunchpauze 9. Een overnachting wordt aangeboden maar is niet verplicht als iemand de patiënt naar huis kan rijden 7. De volgende dag volgt automatisch een postoperatief consult; de kliniek stelt dat er geen verder consult nodig is, al wordt de voortgang met periodieke e-mails gevolgd 7.

Socraticsigma did not have surgery with Dr. Devroye. They travelled to Brussels for an in-person consultation, where he declined to operate because of concern about damaging native hairs; they later said none of the surgeons they consulted, including him, would operate on their diffuse thinning. Of Devroye they said "As good as he is, and i consider him (top 5?) the best in the world", and that the trip's information was worth the time and money.

Tentansub said they had a consultation with Dr Devroye on 2024-10-28 and discussed another patient's case. They reported that the patient was progressing through a repair process, but did not state that Dr Devroye performed either the original procedure or the repair, and gave no overall assessment of him.
