Paradisedreamed had FUE surgery with Dr. Ron Shapiro, first procedure of 3500 grafts around September 2023, with price not disclosed. Across threads from late 2023 through mid-2025 she consistently describes the result as natural and undetectable, calling it "one of my best decision in my life" and noting friends couldn't tell it was a transplant, while also calling Shapiro very ethical and reasonably priced for his experience. She mentions wanting a second procedure to lower her hairline further, and reports no complications.

- vrouw 2.500 grafts
u/plasticsurgerymoney put down a deposit at Shapiro Medical, quoted $13,000 for a rounded-out hairline with 2,500 grafts, as of a 2025-10-02 pre-op post. She says she felt 'exceptionally comfortable' talking with Shapiro personally, and that he told her about her hair's different texture being a factor to consider. She nonetheless calls the price 'really outrageous' after research suggested comparable results elsewhere for roughly half that, and is weighing cheaper alternatives instead. No surgery has occurred and no firsthand account of Shapiro's surgical work is reported.

Between 2026-05-13 and 2026-05-20, u/Loud-Shopping7824 had consultations with Dr. Ron Shapiro's clinic (drawn up by his agent, not Shapiro personally); no surgery has occurred and no grafts, technique, or price were discussed. They described being 'pleasantly surprised' that the proposed hairline extended into an area they'd assumed was off-limits and called it 'big news' for their viability as a candidate, but remained cautious, 'trying not to get my hopes up too much' ahead of an in-person evaluation. By their latest post they were still uncertain whether the proposed added density would make a real visual difference.

- mei 2026 So I consulted with Dr. Ron Shapiro. This is the best he (and properly any surgeon) can do in my case. Frontally would it make a decent difference? Its hard for me to tell. The existing hairline would receive so extra density too. ↗
- mei 2026 Big news for my viability as a potential hair transplant patient. I might be able to cover more ground than I thought. During a consultation with Dr. Ron Shapiro's agent he drew this hairline. I was born with this current hairline. ↗

Patient_Living6348 had a 2,700-graft FUE transplant with Dr. Shapiro (surgery year 2024, quoted at $18,900 USD, booked at $7/graft), choosing him over Dr. Reddy (who doesn't use microscopes) and Dr. Nadimi (quoted $10/graft). Across updates spanning from about 5 months to 8 months post-op, they consistently reported satisfaction, calling the post-op work 'as clean as I could hope for' and noting friends can tell something changed but can't identify a transplant. They describe Shapiro as conservative in hairline design and density but reliable for consistent results, and at their latest update said, 'I'm very happy with the work.' No complications were reported.

u/HairLossExperiences began repair transplant work with Dr Ron Shapiro in 2008, undergoing FUT surgeries as part of a longer repair campaign after earlier failed procedures with other providers; a 2023 update placed her 15 years out from that surgery. She reported being consistently satisfied over time, saying 'Could not be happier' about the results and, when asked years later if she'd still recommend him, 'I'd use them again if I required more work.' In a separate comment she reaffirmed 'Subsequent repairs at Shapiro medical group. Very happy with the results,' and separately noted no issues using hair concealers post-op per his instructions.

- chose clinic for reputation, ethics, results bron ↗
OP, a 38-year-old with temple recession, has FUE surgery scheduled (1400-1800 grafts) with Dr. Josephitis extracting and Dr. Shapiro designing the hairline, aiming for a conservative, age-appropriate result limited to filling in the temples. No outcome is reported yet since the post predates surgery. OP explained the choice of provider: "I chose Shapiro Medical because of their reputation, ethics and history of solid results."

OP had a 2450-graft FUT procedure with Dr. Ron Shapiro in 2015; no price is stated. In an October 2020 comment, OP said 'I really liked Ron Shapiro - just pure class and highly ethical,' while also noting 'a slight struggle to return after missing the mark even if overall we made some progress.' Returning in March 2025, about 10 years post-op, OP rated naturalness and recovery 9/10 but results only 6/10, saying the procedure came up short in his primary target area (forelock restoration), and is now exploring a smaller FUE touch-up. OP's overall verdict stayed mixed but favorable toward the surgeon: 'To be clear, I would consider using him again as I accept there are no perfect results.'

A 19-year-old OP posted in April 2024 after a consultation with Dr. Ron Shapiro, who advised waiting until age 22 to consider a transplant; OP is following that advice rather than pursuing surgery now. OP has been on oral Finasteride for a year with dermatologist approval and is considering adding oral minoxidil, and was separately referred to a $250 consultation with Dr. Bernstein in NYC as another option. No procedure, cost, or outcome with Shapiro occurred, and OP offered no firsthand assessment of him.

A Norwood 3 patient compared consults between Dr. Wesley and Shapiro Medical Group (Dr. Shapiro and Dr. Josephitis) in December 2025, and ended up scheduling with Dr. Shapiro, saying he did so 'based on his experience and expertise as one of the leaders.' Shapiro's team recommended 1800-2200 FUE grafts with a more conservative, age-appropriate design, reasoning it's easier to lower a hairline later than raise one; the price was also several thousand dollars less than Wesley's NYC-based practice. As of the latest update (April 2026) the patient had only scheduled surgery and had not yet undergone the procedure.

- trusts Shapiro for natural, low-risk result bron ↗
u/Calm_Still_8917 was considering Ron Shapiro as of December 2023, describing their level as "more like nw 3ish" and wanting a hairline/temple result solid enough to avoid multiple front surgeries "for a 40 year old"; Shapiro's clinic quoted roughly 1600-2000 grafts. They had not yet had surgery, but said, "I feel like I can trust that I'll get something natural and low-risk there," choosing him over going abroad despite acknowledging quality surgeons exist overseas.

HairCareCountDown had a hair transplant with Dr. Ron Shapiro (with Dr. Josephitis) at Shapiro Medical Center in Minnesota, priced at 7/graft, after ranking him among the top repair doctors alongside Mwamba, Bisanga, and Konior, and flying out of state to see him. She called Shapiro 'one of the best in the world' and said she'd stay with his team since they were familiar with her physiology, having also had a repair with Shapiro and Josephitis following earlier work by Dr. Diep. In her most recent update (2023-06-27), comparing him to Dr. Reddy in the UK, she still rated Shapiro 'overall best in the world' but gave a mixed take on the outcome, saying 'the hairline artistry didn't quite hit like Reddy and some of the others do.'

On 2026-07-03, Empty_Piece_7921 included Ron Shapiro on an initial three-surgeon shortlist (alongside Gabel and Konior) while researching a hairline-only case, price agnostic, hoping to proceed within about 6 months. No one in the thread discussed Shapiro and OP offered no assessment of him at all — in contrast to Konior, whom OP had actually consulted and called 'one of the best' despite disliking his personality, and toward whom OP said 'there's a good chance I'm going with him as he's the closest to me.' Shapiro remains entirely unevaluated by this user.
