These terms cover the website at savemyhairline.com and the SaveMyHair iPhone app. The short version: everything here is information, not medical advice; the directory is independent and cannot be bought; the app is a subscription you can cancel at any time through Apple.
Not medical advice
SaveMyHairline is an information service. Nothing on the site or in the app is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using either does not create a doctor–patient relationship. Hair loss has several causes and treatments carry real side effects, so decisions about medication or surgery belong with a qualified doctor who has examined you. Never delay seeking medical advice because of something you read here.
The app records what you tell it and the photos you take. It does not assess them, and a hairline that looks better or worse in your own photos is not a clinical finding.
What the directory is
Every fact about a surgeon is sourced and linked. Placement in the directory cannot be bought, and no surgeon or clinic can pay to be added, moved, or removed. We work from published information and from what patients have written publicly, and we can be wrong — if something about you or your practice is inaccurate, write to [email protected] and we will check it against the source and correct or remove it.
The app subscription
SaveMyHair is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the App Store. Before you confirm, the App Store shows you the price and the billing period for your country; those prices are set per territory by Apple and are what you pay, whatever figures appear elsewhere.
- If a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically. Your account is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends, unless you cancel first.
- Cancel any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your device, or via apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not shorten the period you have already paid for.
- Purchases and refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We never see your card details. Refunds are at Apple's discretion under the App Store terms.
Your photos and records stay on your device and are not deleted when a subscription ends. See the privacy page for what that means in practice.
Your content
Photos you take in the app are yours. They are stored on your device, we never receive them, and we claim no rights over them. If you later send us something — a correction, a photo attached to an email — you are giving us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it for, and nothing else.
Fair use
Please don't scrape the site, resell the directory, impersonate a surgeon or a patient, or submit information you know to be false. The directory exists because it can be trusted, and astroturfing is the specific thing it is built to resist.
Availability and liability
The site and the app are provided as they are. We work to keep them accurate and available but cannot guarantee either, and we are not liable for decisions you make on the basis of what you read. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes
If these terms change, this page changes and the date above moves. Continuing to use the site or the app after that means the new terms apply.
