Procedures and techniques
The clinic says (in German) it performs FUE and FUT, and combinations of both when many grafts are needed 6. It says Dr Finner moves the FUE handpiece by hand himself and makes the recipient channels himself, and the team places the grafts with fine forceps 6. It says it does not perform DHI with implanter pens, unshaven FUE or sapphire blade incisions, citing a higher risk to the grafts 6. It lists contraindications such as scalp diseases, alopecia areata and poor general health 6. Its FAQ says 3,000 grafts are not the right amount for receding temples and that about 1,200 grafts would typically be sensible 6. The site also has pages on eyebrow transplants and on transplants for women 5.
Pricing
Booking and aftercare
The clinic says the first step is a pre-examination with Dr Finner in person 6. It says the pre-examination, all surgical steps and aftercare are done by Dr Finner personally with his permanent staff in Berlin 6. He also holds pre-examinations in Leipzig at the Lanuwa clinic, booked through Lanuwa 8. The FAQ says the operation takes a single day under local anaesthetic 7. The aftercare it lists includes a special shampoo, measures against swelling, a follow-up assessment by Dr Finner and, on request, PRP treatment 7.
Credentials and memberships
He is an ISHRS Fellow Member, and his profile gives 2006 as the year he joined 3. His bio says he became a Fellow in September 2017 and was co-editor of the ISHRS journal Hair Transplant Forum International from 2016 to 2019 1. It says he passed the European Board exam in dermatology and venereology in 2007 and was recognised as a German specialist in dermatology the same year 1. - clinic seemed trustworthy and reputable source ↗
juju8914, who is considering a transplant, had an in-person consultation with Dr Finner in Berlin and says his clinic seemed trustworthy and reputable, though that does not mean they would necessarily go with him. Dr Finner found enough space at the front, recommended 1,500 grafts there and would not do anything at the back for lack of space. For comparison, Dr Keser advised against a transplant via WhatsApp and Dr Aygin proposed 2,000 grafts at the front and 1,200 at the back. They have not had surgery and decided to try finasteride for 6-12 months first.

Ninapolis says they had a hair transplant with Dr. Finner in Berlin, mentioned only in passing in a thread about buying finasteride abroad. In their opinion he understands the field and does consultations as well as transplants, and they suggest booking one at his practice for about 50 euro. No graft count, technique, price of the surgery, date or outcome of the transplant is given.
