Background
Bruno Ferreira graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Porto University in 2011 and began working in hair restoration the following year in Porto1. His main office and operating room is Rejuvie Clinic1. The clinic describes it as boutique-style, located in Espinho near Porto2. In 2018 Dr. José Lorenzo invited him to join the surgical team at Medilor clinic in Madrid, where he still practices1.
Procedures and techniques
The clinic says Dr. Ferreira performs every surgical stage himself, with nurses assisting rather than operating3. He operates on one patient a day, typically 8 to 10 hours3. Extraction uses FUE punches ranging from 0.65mm to 0.9mm, most often 0.8mm3. Grafts are placed with implanters, held in solution, usually no more than 2-3 hours outside the body3. There's no fixed daily graft limit, though cases above 2200-2500 grafts are usually split across two days3. The first consultation includes a medical history and microscope examination of scalp and hair4. The site lists face, body hair, scar repair, and repair work as procedures1.
Pricing
No prices are published; the clinic says cost is only given after Dr. Ferreira's assessment3. The price is said to cover medical and nursing care, surgical materials, photographic records, clinic meals, and a post-operative pack3. The clinic also offers a growth guarantee: re-transplant at no extra charge if fewer than 90% of transplanted hairs grow2. It states average graft survival is about 95%7.
Booking and aftercare
At research time, online consultations were listed as temporarily disabled due to demand outpacing capacity5. In-person consultation can be booked via a form, phone call, or email6. The clinic's contacts page also lists a WhatsApp number9. Aftercare centres on photo check-ins sent to Dr. Ferreira over the following months plus a first head wash 4 days after surgery, at the clinic or at home7. Its activity schedule allows light jogging after a week, contact sports after about 28 days7. Its recovery timeline includes a first review around month 5, in person or by photo and video8. The homepage separately states results continue improving until 10-12 months post-op2.
Credentials and memberships
Listed affiliations include the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the World FUE Institute (fellow member), the Portuguese Society of Aesthetic Medicine, and the Portuguese Medical Association1.

What patients say on reddit
43 people shared their experience with Dr. Bruno Ferreira across 80 reddit threads between 2019 and 2026. Every graft count, price and verdict is linked to the original thread.
- male 3,000 grafts surgery 2026
u/Supermarche23 had a hair transplant with Bruno Ferreira in Portugal in 2026, just over 3000 grafts, after initially getting a response from Dr. Nader in Reynosa but growing too impatient checking Nader's booking schedule daily. In an earlier comment they put the cost simply as 'basically 20k' with no currency stated, later giving it more precisely as '$18500-19000 USD after exchange rate,' and noted Bruno Ferreira came in pricier than an alternative they'd looked at, De Freitas in Spain (around 10k). At 2 months post-op they reported being 'so far very happy with my decision.'

Ccd9999 (NW6, diffuse thinning) consulted Dr Bruno Ferreira in November 2023, saying he was "very impressed by Dr Ferreira and his clinic" and seriously considering cancelling a competing booking with Dr Bicer. After about a year on dutasteride and minoxidil brought him to NW3 with thin regrowth, he proceeded with a single combined surgery in September 2024 (3,201 grafts, paid 12,804 EUR), stating beforehand he had "full confidence in his abilities." By 8 months post-op in May 2025 he reported being "a bit of a slow grower" but was overall "very happy with how it's looking now."

Jwicks90 has not yet had surgery with Dr. Bruno Ferreira but has followed him closely over more than a year. In May 2024 they reported having booked a second transplant with Ferreira, noting he 'does the entire procedure himself' rather than delegating to technicians, though this meant waiting since he was 'booked up for 2024'; they called him 'very good' and cited his standing on a major Facebook HT group. By September 2025 they had completed an in-person consultation and been quoted 3,000 grafts for the hairline and 1,000 for the crown (4,000 total) at 20,000 EUR, calling the consultation 'very detailed and helpful' and saying Ferreira 'really does feel like one of the best to go with' — while flagging that pricing had risen sharply since 2023-24.

Mr_Rolandas had two FUE hair transplants with Dr. Bruno Ferreira in Portugal — 3,659 grafts starting 2020 (Norwood 5a) and 2,881 more in 2021, totaling 6,540 grafts for about €15,000 combined. Across nineteen posts spanning 2020-2022 he consistently reported a positive experience, calling Ferreira 'ofc an amazing surgeon' and 'an artist,' and rating the outcome 'easily the best decision I've made so far in life.' He noted some day-one graft popping during implantation (resolved by a technique change) and donor-area scarring visible due to low pigment, but reported no serious complications and said results kept improving over time. He also praised Ferreira for personally performing the entire procedure himself rather than delegating to technicians, though he flagged the clinic's roughly year-long waiting list.

As of February 2026, findanewcollar had not yet been treated by Bruno Ferreira and was 'currently waiting for an appointment' with him, drawn by the fact that 'he's actually the one doing everything and his technicians are just supporting' — a contrast they drew with another surgeon whose technician-driven approach left them 'a bit on the fence.' They described Ferreira as 'very expensive now' with 'a long wait list,' but remained optimistic, saying 'I feel like it's gonna be worth it in the long run.' No surgery, cost, graft count, or outcome has occurred yet.

OP, in their mid-40s and on topical minoxidil, was quoted 5 euro per graft by Dr Bruno Ferreira in an August 2024 email, and as of November 2024 was still pre-consult, with the consult itself not scheduled until summer 2025 and surgery not expected until 6-9 months after that. OP called this a 'ridiculous long wait in total and 5 euro per graft now,' and rather than committing was simultaneously researching several other surgeons. No surgery has taken place and no outcome is reported.

Aggressive-Score2355 had a procedure with Dr Bruno Ferreira in Portugal (exact date not stated), mentioned in passing while commenting on a different patient's thread in March 2026. They called the clinic a "top team" and noted a second session was booked about ten months later to add density to the front/mid scalp, with beard grafts available for the crown if needed. No graft count, price, or exact surgery date for their own procedure was given, and no one else in the thread commented on their experience with Ferreira.

- waitlist massive, 12-18 month wait source ↗
TracePoland, NW3 and 25 years old, has not yet had surgery with Bruno Ferreira. In January 2025 they reported being on his waitlist after discussing hairline-vs-crown expectations directly with him; by February 2025 they were still waiting, simultaneously trying to reach Dr Pekiner and keeping Dr Ratchathorn as a backup. They characterized Bruno as one of the 'top European surgeons' who will accept patients with some retrograde hair loss as long as expectations stay realistic, and noted his roughly 2-2.5 year wait was shorter than the up-to-4-year wait they'd weighed for another surgeon elsewhere — though by the later post they described his waitlist as 'massive, so probably a 12-18 month wait.'

sublimeapple was on Bruno Ferreira's waiting list around November 2024 but never became his patient, ultimately being treated by Dr. Ratchathorn at AHC Bangkok for 3519 FUE grafts instead. They described Ferreira as 'super slow' to book and said his in-person-only consultation requirement ruled him out while traveling. By March 2025, weighing Ferreira against Ratchathorn, they summarized their experience bluntly: 'it was literally impossible to schedule anything with Bruno.'

u/smythium had FUE with Dr. Bruno Ferreira in Portugal in 2021, 3,400 grafts at €2.5 per graft (€8,500 total, under €9k with flights and accommodation), and posted twin 6-month-post-op updates. He calls the result 'a life changer' and says he'll 'have a perfect hairline for the rest of my life,' reporting no visible scarring and no noticed side effects. He did notice about 3 doubled hairs in the hairline a few days after surgery but says they 'don't stand out,' and says the hardest part of the whole process was aftercare — sleeping on his back at an elevated angle.

OP, a Norwood 4 male in his 40s, reached out to Bruno Ferreira for a consultation starting in April 2025, but as of this September 2025 post had still heard nothing back. No consultation, quote, or procedure with Ferreira has taken place, so there is no firsthand account of his surgical work — only the unresponsiveness itself. OP remains undecided and is weighing Ferreira alongside other surgeons (Mittal, Reddy) while continuing to wait.
