Dr. Chun-Chih Lin

Dr Chun-Chih Lin (林俊志) is the director of Hayashi Hair Transplant Clinic (秀冠植髮診所) in Datong District, Taipei, Taiwan 12. The clinic says (in Chinese) that every transplant there is handled personally by Dr Lin and is not delegated to anyone else 1. He is a former attending physician in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital and trained at National Taiwan University Hospital 3. The clinic says it specialises in FUE only and does not sell hair-growth or aesthetic treatments 3. It says he has performed more than a thousand transplant operations 1. The clinic moved to its current address in April 2023 3.

The clinic offers FUE for the hairline and frontal area, women's hairlines and the crown, plus beard, sideburn and eyebrow transplants 4. It extracts grafts by hand with a punch system it calls 寇約翰植髮, with three extraction modes, and says this keeps follicle damage to 3% or less 3. Its FAQ says Dr Lin implants the grafts himself with Korean implanter pens, rather than having the team place grafts into holes he has made 5. It says the hairline is designed from each patient's face proportions, forehead height and existing hair direction 4.

The clinic says its usual price is NT$75 per hair, which it compares with market prices starting at NT$80 per hair 3. It charges per hair (根) rather than per graft (株), and its FAQ explains this is because one graft can hold one to four hairs 5. It does not say what the price includes 3.

Overseas patients can send photos for a first assessment by LINE or email, and the clinic accepts enquiries in English 6. Its itinerary for overseas patients is three days: consultation, assessment and blood test with the director, surgery the next day, then aftercare and a review before the flight 6. It recommends five to seven days off in total 6. It says it provides cleaning care until the scabs are gone, with low-level laser sessions 4.

The clinic lists him as ABHRS certified, an ISHRS member, a member of the Taiwan hair restoration society and a Taiwan otolaryngology specialist 1. Registry records list him as an ABHRS diplomate and an ISHRS Full Member 78. The ISHRS listing gives his city as New Taipei City, but its address is the clinic's address in Datong District, Taipei City 8.
