Dr. Damkerng Pathomvanich (Dr Path, DHT Clinic)

Damkerng Pathomvanich is a hair restoration surgeon at DHT Clinic in Bangkok, Thailand; its bio states he has a general surgery background and is American Board of Surgery certified, recertified since 1979.1 The clinic describes him as the first to bring modern hair restoration surgery to Thailand.1 DHT Clinic's team page lists three doctors and two nurses, not a solo practice.2 A separately-branded sister site, "Full Hair BY DHT Clinic," lists him as surgeon at a different Bangkok address, a relationship neither site explains.1

The clinic says it has performed a "Refined Follicular Unit Hair Transplantation Technique" for over 25 years, in which the surgeon, assistant doctors and surgical assistants together handle hairline design, donor selection and the procedure.3 Listed services include FUE, FUT (strip), a combined FUT/FUE approach, eyebrow, beard, body hair and scar transplants, scalp micropigmentation, PRP and low-level laser therapy.3 Donor harvesting uses an "Open Technique" he developed for strip harvesting, which the clinic and ISHRS describe as intended to reduce follicular transection and scarring.4 Pain management is local anesthesia with the smallest available needle and massage for distraction.3 Graft counts are set at consultation based on area and density wanted.3

No price list is published; the clinic asks for photos from different angles for a rough estimate, and says cost scales with graft count, with a lower per-graft rate at higher counts.3

The process runs 3-4 days: consultation, surgery, then a follow-up before departing on day three, or day four for larger sessions.3 A patient testimonial on the site calls the consultation free, though the clinic's own text does not say so.3 Post-op complications are described as self-limited, flying home the next day is said to be safe, and patients are told to contact the clinic with problems.3 It states there is no 100% guarantee, cites roughly 90% graft growth after 3-6 months, and offers a free repeat surgery if grafts fail to grow, which it says has not happened.3

He is listed by ISHRS as a Fellow member.4 Per its doctor page, the clinic also lists him as a member of the Asian Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Thailand, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.1 ISHRS records show he passed American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery certification in 2003.4 The clinic's own doctor page separately shows the credential as "2003-2013 Retired."1
