Dr. Gerhard M. Strasser

Dr Gerhard M. Strasser is the owner and medical director of Haarzentrum Dr. Strasser, a hair transplant practice in Deggendorf, Lower Bavaria, Germany 8. The imprint gives his professional title as ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctor 8. The practice says (in German) that he has more than 25 years of experience; other pages say more than 20 years 2. It says he has treated many hundreds of patients 4. Since 2020 he has also operated in Munich-Schwabing, at the premises of Almeida Aesthetic 2. The practice says he performs hair transplants weekly 2. A case report on the site, dated April 2026, describes a two-stage treatment he carried out in Deggendorf 7.

The practice offers FUT (strip) and FUE, depending on the patient's situation 4. It also offers scalp reduction as a supplement or alternative 1. For FUE, it says grafts are taken with a fine hollow needle of 0.6 to 0.9 mm, under magnifying loupes 5. Grafts are placed into micro-slits, following density and growth direction 5. Surgery takes one to four hours under local anaesthesia, and twilight sedation is possible 4. The practice says one to three sessions may be needed 4.

The practice publishes an example price table for FUT, dated August 2024 3. It gives about €3,190 to €3,790 for 1,000 to 1,200 grafts 3. It gives about €4,190 to €5,490 for 1,400 to 1,800 grafts 3. It gives about €6,190 for 2,200 grafts on a large crown 3. These are the Munich prices; in Deggendorf €200 to €500 is deducted 3. FUE costs 10 to 15% more 3. The procedure pages say costs start at about €3,000 4.

The practice says the same doctor, Dr Strasser, looks after patients before and after surgery 1. It says patients are cared for by the owner in a small team 2. An online hair calculator gives a free, non-binding quote 4. Consultations and surgery in Munich are also possible on Saturdays 6.

He is listed as a member of the VDHC (Verband Deutscher Haarchirurgen, the Association of German Hair Surgeons) 9. The practice says he is a member of the GÄCD (Gesellschaft für Ästhetische Chirurgie Deutschland) and the VDHC 4. It says he also works as an expert assessor, for example on faulty hair transplants 2.
