Dr. Jack Fisher

Dr. Jack Fisher is a board-certified plastic surgeon practicing in Nashville, Tennessee.6 Per IAHRS, he earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, was an attending plastic surgeon at the Mayo Clinic from 1981 to 1986, and trained in hair transplantation under Dr. Carlos Ubel in Brazil, described there as one of the "fathers" of the small-graft megasession technique.6 Per its FAQ, the clinic states that Fisher personally performs all hair replacement procedures, placing each and every graft himself.1

The clinic describes megasessions of up to 3,000 grafts, meaning patients frequently receive 6,000 to 7,000 hairs per session.1 Per its megasessions page, grafts are harvested as a strip of tissue and separated under a microscope into units of about 1 to 3 hairs, in sessions running roughly 5 to 6 hours.2 It also offers FUE via the NeoGraft system, an automated punch that, per the clinic, needs no donor-site sutures.3 Per IAHRS, Fisher personally creates the recipient incisions and places every graft, using custom-made instruments he designed for very small incisions, and double-closes donor-area incisions to limit scarring.6 The clinic states hairline design comes from Fisher studying each patient's face and forehead shape.4 It also describes him as comfortable performing corrective restoration for patients who have had substandard transplants elsewhere, a service it says many clinics avoid.5
