Atlanta, United States
$12,000 Patient reported, May 2025 · Cost detailsBackground
Dr Jeremy Wetzel is the lead surgeon at the Atlanta location of Anderson Center for Hair, the practice founded by Dr Ken Anderson 1. He earned his medical degree at the University of Texas at Houston and spent seven years in the Emory University neurosurgery residency, which ended in 2020 1. The clinic says he entered hair restoration surgery in 2020 and performed his first hair transplants that year under Dr Anderson's mentorship 1. It says he worked part-time for nearly three years and joined full-time in 2022 as a dedicated hair transplant surgeon 1. His IAHRS profile says he trained through the American Academy of Hair Restoration Surgery under Dr Anderson 2.
Procedures and techniques
The clinic says he performs manual FUE, robotic FUE and FUT 1. For FUE it uses the WAW Duo motorised system with a hybrid punch 3. Its FUT page describes a trichophytic closure and says the technician team dissects the strip under microscopes 4. The same page gives a typical FUT session as 2,000 to 3,000 or more grafts 4. The clinic says its surgeons do one procedure per day and perform nearly the entire surgery, including steps often delegated to technicians 5. It says it stores grafts in Hypothermosol rather than saline 5. Its FAQ sets a minimum age of 25 for frontal hairline work and 30 for crown work 6.
Pricing
Booking and aftercare
Consultations are in person or by video, and the clinic says its surgeons offer virtual consultations every day 8. The FAQ says a consultation lasts around one hour, while the consultations page says about half an hour 89. A fee is charged at the end of the consultation; the amount is not stated 9. The practice says it gives no explicit guarantee or warranty of results 8. It suggests a review appointment 12 months after surgery 6.

- talked a fair amount about meds first source ↗
Responsible_Role2859 asked whether a transplant is worth trying and consulted two US surgeons. They report Dr. Wetzel thought FUT could achieve about 2500 grafts for more like $12k, and recommended starting finasteride as soon as possible to retain donor hair before a transplant. They compare this with another surgeon who quoted 4000 grafts for $19k. They have not had surgery with Wetzel and give no verdict.

Spirited_Ad398 had an FUE with Dr. Jeremy Wetzel in Atlanta in October 2025 and wrote at 3 months post-op. They said he seems great, had no issues, and was extremely receptive to questions before and after surgery, but that it is far too early to assess the results. They noted technicians do most of the implantation and that one side of their head is currently much denser than the other, which they wonder may be due to different technician techniques.

Jaikarro had an FUT of around 2500 grafts in 2024 with Jeremy Wetzel in Atlanta. They say the clinic wanted 13k and they talked it down to 10k, currency not stated. About one month in, in the ugly duckling phase, they said they were very happy with the procedure and the post-surgical care. They slept through most of the surgery, with the worst pain around day 4 and days 8-9, and needed a couple of Vicodin.

askppinb has not had surgery with Dr. Wetzel. They say another doctor at the same Atlanta clinic botched their earlier transplant, and Wetzel offered to redo it for between $2-3k, which they call super cheap for the US. They say they would hate to waste more time and donor hair on a poor transplant and are leaning towards going elsewhere.
