Dr. João Carlos Pereira

Dr João Carlos Pereira is a dermatologist and one of the two hair transplant surgeons named by JC Pereira, his family's hair transplant clinic in São Paulo, Brazil 1. The clinic's site (in Portuguese) calls him one of the pioneers of hair transplantation in Brazil and says he has more than 30 years of experience 1. It says he was one of the first doctors in the country to perform FUE 1. A September 2025 newspaper interview says he founded Clínica Derm in São José do Rio Preto in 1981 and describes it as the first day hospital in Brazil dedicated only to hair transplant 2. The interview says the family first saw patients in São Paulo and operated in Rio Preto, and began operating in São Paulo too during the pandemic 2. It says his sons João Pedro Cabrera Pereira, a dermatologist, and João Carlos Pereira Filho, a plastic surgeon, are part of the clinic's medical team 2. A November 2025 press release says he and João Pedro both work in hair transplant surgery at JC Pereira 3.
