Dr. Joseph Williams

Dr Joseph L. Williams is the medical director of the Advanced Medical Hair Institute, a hair restoration practice in Las Vegas 1. His ISHRS profile says he qualified in medicine in 1976 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill 2. It says he was a board-certified urologist for 25 years, retired from urology, and now practises hair restoration full time 2. The clinic's homepage says he has worked in hair restoration for over 20 years 3. The newest captures of the clinic's site, from 2026, still offer consultations with Dr Williams and hair transplants 34.

The clinic's pages describe FUT and FUE, and say the two can be combined in one procedure 5. The FUT page says he recommends FUT, particularly for advanced hair loss 5. It says 3,000 to 4,500 grafts can be placed in one day with FUT 5. On that page, assistants dissect the grafts while he closes the donor wound and makes the recipient sites, and the team then places the grafts 5. The FUE page says he performs FUE for patients who prefer it and are good candidates 6. The FAQ says the clinic also transplants hair into eyebrows, moustaches, sideburns and scars 7. The 2026 contact page lists beard and facial hair transplants 4. The bio page says he performs one procedure at a time 1. The 2026 homepage puts non-surgical treatments first, such as prescription therapy, laser therapy and injections, with transplants when needed 3.

The clinic does not publish prices. The FUE page says the cost depends on the case and the number of grafts, and that FUE tends to cost more than FUT 6.

The homepage offers a free consultation 3. The bio page says Dr Williams does every consultation himself 1. The FAQ says a procedure day lasts 4 to 8 hours, depending on the number of grafts 7. It says Dr Williams guarantees a natural, undetectable result, and that more density may need another procedure 7. The 2026 contact page gives one address, on West Post Road in Las Vegas 4.

Registry records list him as an ABHRS diplomate 8. The clinic's homepage also says he is an ABHRS diplomate, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery 3. He is an ISHRS Full Member, listed in Las Vegas, and joined ISHRS in 2001 2.
