Joseph R. Yaker, MD is founder and medical director of YAKER Hair Restoration + Med Spa in Plano, Texas.1 The clinic states his training path included a one year fellowship in hair transplant surgery under Dr. Mark S. DiStefano at the DiStefano Hair Restoration Centers.1

The practice performs both SmartGraft FUE and FUT (strip method).2 The clinic states Dr. Yaker creates the recipient sites, controlling angle, depth, orientation and density.2 For FUT, the clinic states Dr. Yaker removes the donor tissue as a single strip, which is then closed with sutures.2 The clinic states grafts and the scalp are bathed and injected with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to aid healing and growth.2 The clinic states surgery is done under local anesthetic with an oral sedative.2 The clinic says the FUT linear scar is minimized with a trichophytic closure, typically fading to 1-2mm, and that patients who wear their hair very short may be better suited to FUE.2 The clinic will not take on transplants under 500 grafts unless the patient is already established with Dr. Yaker.4

The clinic's dedicated pricing page lists a consultation fee of $200-$300, follow-up visits at $50-$75, and a surgery rate of $7 per graft, putting an average 2,000-2,500 graft case at roughly $16,000-$20,000.4 A separate treatment page on the same site quotes a different range of $8-$9 per graft for the same procedures, a discrepancy the sources do not resolve.3 Eyebrow transplants are listed at $7,000 and eyelash transplants at $6,500.4 Post-op hair and scalp therapy products and compounded prescription medications are billed separately, and the clinic notes that under Texas law prescription medication orders are final sale.4

Consultations can be booked in person or virtually.5 Patients receive a personalized post-surgery kit including a hair follicle growth spray, therapeutic shampoo and conditioner, and an amino acid supplement blend, and the clinic describes scabbing with pinkness over the transplanted area lasting at least 7 to 10 days.2
