Dr. Juan Couto

Juan Couto is Founder and lead surgeon of FUExpert Clinic, a hair-restoration-only practice in Madrid, Spain, which he founded in 2012 after two decades training in the United States.1 The clinic states he earned his Medical Degree in 1985 from the Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana.1 It says its team is composed of staff he personally trained, and that he moved from doing both strip (FUT) and FUE early on to a FUE-only practice as patients favored less invasive options.1

The clinic offers a free initial consultation with no obligation, used to assess the balding area and estimate the graft count before quoting a final price.3 On surgery day, it describes an oral sedative given at the start along with sleeping through part of the procedure, followed by take-home medication for the first 12 to 18 hours, and states FUE patients generally need no further pain relief afterward.2
