Fragrant_Client3619 says they had two procedures with Dr Russell Knudsen in Australia a few years before 2024-2026, including FUT, and gives no graft counts, dates or prices. They report that growth was not great, that the FUT scar was downplayed and is 'absolutely huge', and that technicians did the implantation. They write 'If I had my time again, I would have used someone else' and are now having another procedure for temples and density with a different doctor.

apatheticonion booked a strip (FUT) transplant with Dr Russell Knudsen in Sydney in January 2021, planning 1000 to 1500 grafts, and said he seemed "a master of his craft". After negative replies about the photos and price he reconsidered, did not proceed, and says Knudsen "was kind enough to return my deposit, despite not being required to by law". He later said he had not seen clear results on the website to give him confidence, and had his transplant with another surgeon.

-NickFlores- mentions Dr Russell Knudsen once, in a finasteride shedding thread in 2021. They say two dermatologists, a trichologist and a hair transplant surgeon (Dr Knudsen) confirmed no signs of male pattern baldness, only scalp inflammation and dandruff. They describe no surgery, price or opinion of him beyond that consultation outcome.

- told me I was imagining side effects source ↗
5iveBees4AQuarter saw Dr Knudsen as a patient for a medication consultation, not a hair transplant; no surgery, grafts or price are mentioned. They say he "completely dismissed my finasteride side effects (insomnia and dry eyes) because he had never seen it in his practice" and ignored the literature they showed him, even though the GP who prescribed the drug agreed it was the cause. They say he "gaslit" them on those side effects and that they now take much of what he says with a grain of salt.

- female 1,600 grafts
She had a consultation with Dr Russell Knudsen, who she says was entirely happy to go ahead, but she was quoted $15000 for 1600 grafts, not counting accommodation and travel from Brisbane to Sydney, and found the cost very high. She has not had surgery and asked for cheaper surgeons with good reputations.
