Dr. Sandeep Sattur

Dr Sandeep Sattur is the founder of Hairrevive, a centre for hair restoration and skin treatments in Santacruz West, Mumbai 1. He trained at Grant Medical College in Mumbai, where he completed his MBBS, an MS in general surgery and an MCh in plastic surgery 1. The clinic's site says he started as a plastic and cosmetic surgeon and performed his first hair transplant in 1998 1. It says his practice is now limited to hair restoration 1. The centre is run with his wife, Dr Indu Sattur, its medical director, who also performs FUE 12.

The site says he uses both strip harvest (FUT) and FUE 1. It says he uses chest and back hair as donor hair when needed 1. He also transplants hair into scars from trauma and burns, and restores moustaches, beards and eyebrows 1. The site menu also lists eyelash transplants and medical treatments such as finasteride, minoxidil, PRP and low-level laser 2.

The homepage says Dr Sandeep and Dr Indu Sattur give the anaesthesia and do the donor harvest themselves, without delegating these steps 2. It says the surgeons do most of the implantation 2.
