Dr. Urvashi Chandra

Dr Urvashi Chandra is a dermatologist and hair transplant surgeon at Chandra Hair Clinic in Pitampura, Delhi 1. The clinic's site says she qualified in medicine (MBBS) at Government Medical College, Miraj, in 2005 1. She then took an MD in dermatology (Skin, VD and Leprosy) at Dr Sampurnanand Medical College, Jodhpur, in 2010 1. The site says she worked as a hair transplant surgeon with DHI from 2010 to 2013 before continuing at her own clinic 1. The site also has a page for a second doctor, Dr Kapil Chandra 1.

Her bio lists FUE, FUT (strip), Bio-IPT, unshaven FUE and female hair transplants as procedures she performs 1. It also lists beard, eyebrow and body hair transplants 1. The site describes Bio-IPT as extraction with ultra-fine punches and placement with implanter pens 1. The hair transplant page says transplants at the clinic are performed by Dr Chandra 2. It does not say how the work is split with staff 2. The page says a procedure takes 4 to 12 hours under local anaesthesia 2.

The FUE page lists FUE at ₹40 to ₹60 per graft 3. Its table gives ₹40,000 to ₹60,000 for 1,000 grafts and ₹1,20,000 to ₹1,80,000 for 3,000 grafts 3. The hair transplant page lists FUT at ₹30 to ₹50 per graft and Bio-IPT at ₹60 to ₹80 per graft 2. It says costs at the clinic range from ₹30,000 to ₹2,40,000, depending on graft count and technique 2. The site does not say what the price includes 23.

The bio says she checks the hair loss pattern, the donor area and the patient's overall condition before recommending surgery 1.
