Reporting back at 5 years post-op, they called it 'a good experience albeit expensive af' and, in an earlier update, said they were 'very happy with the result (especially the added volume in the hairline).' Lingering gripes were cosmetic rather than complications: they wished he'd rounded off their temples more, and still wish their hairline were a bit lower and less square, though they attribute that to their natural childhood hairline rather than the surgery. They called the result 'a bit underwhelming but still a significant improvement,' but were 'more disappointed with the resulting scar,' which came out 'significantly wider than usual (4-5 mm instead of 1-3mm).' Despite not having 'the greatest experience there,' they said they don't regret getting the procedure done and would 'still recommend going through with the FUT procedure.'

Before the procedure they expressed confidence in the surgeon after researching him, writing 'He's good lol. I'm sticking with him!' At 9 months post-op they called the result a success, telling others 'Go get the procedure if you can. Life is much better with it.'
