De teampagina van HLC omschrijft Ozgur Oztan als oprichter en huidig medisch directeur van HLC Clinic (Hairline Clinic).1 Zijn ISHRS-profiel vermeldt de functie daarentegen als "Chairman, Founder, and Medical Doctor" sinds 2003.2 De prijzenpagina van HLC vermeldt het adres van de kliniek in Ankara, Turkije.4 Volgens de FAQ kunnen patiënten niet specifiek om hem vragen: HLC wijst bij het consult een arts toe op basis van haartype en huidkenmerken.5 De FAQ spreekt van "our team of five surgeons."5 Het ISHRS-profiel van Oztan noemt eveneens vijf artsen die bij HLC FUE uitvoeren.2
Behandelingen en technieken
HLC zegt dat het team uitsluitend met FUE werkt, en de site noemt daarnaast correctie van haartransplantaties, transplantatie van lichaamshaar en baardtransplantatie als behandelingen.3 Volgens de FAQ gebeurt de extractie met een handmatige punch van 0,7-0,9 mm.5 De kliniek zegt dat ze gemotoriseerde apparaten vermijdt, en presenteert dat als snelheid inleveren voor kwaliteit.4 HLC zegt dat de implantatie volgens een stick-and-place-methode gebeurt in porties van ongeveer 750-1.000 grafts, om de tijd zonder bloedtoevoer te beperken.4 HLC meldt een transectiepercentage van de grafts van minder dan 1%.5 Volgens de FAQ behandelt de kliniek alleen erfelijke haaruitval, opereert ze geen patiënten met Norwood 7 en biedt ze geen langdurige garantie, behalve een gratis touch-up als de groei tegenvalt.5
Prijzen
HLC rekent voor FUE per graft: €3,00 voor de eerste 2.500 grafts en €2,50 daarboven; in het rekenvoorbeeld komt 3.000 grafts uit op €9.000 inclusief het servicepakket.4 Volgens de prijzenpagina omvat een servicepakket van €250 transfers, 2 nachten hotel (3 nachten boven 2.200 grafts), ontbijt en lunch, medicatie, een bloedtest en fotocontroles na 6 en 12 maanden.4 Volgens de prijzenpagina kan het consult bestaan uit een gratis foto-beoordeling of een bezoek ter plaatse van €200, dat met de ingreep wordt verrekend, en dat ook wordt aangeboden in Frankfurt, München, Zürich, Parijs, Londen of Rome.4 De kliniek zegt dat haar prijzen bewust niet de laagste in Turkije zijn, en wijst op het risico van een uitgeput donorgebied na mislukte goedkope transplantaties elders.4 Voor terugbetaling van een aanbetaling is volgens de prijzenpagina 14 dagen opzegtermijn nodig.4 De FAQ vereist daarentegen 20 dagen.5
Boeken en nazorg
Volgens de pagina over online consulten worden foto-consulten binnen 5-7 werkdagen beantwoord.6 Ingrepen gebeuren onder plaatselijke verdoving met sedatie; volgens de kliniek voelen patiënten geen pijn en kunnen ze de hele tijd een film kijken of naar muziek luisteren.5 Volgens de kliniek wordt patiënten aangeraden 7-10 dagen te rekenen voordat ze weer aan het werk gaan.5 Volgens de prijzenpagina bestaat de nazorg uit fotocontroles na 6 en 12 maanden via WhatsApp of e-mail.4 Een meereizende gast kost volgens de prijzenpagina €50 extra per nacht.4 De FAQ noemt daarentegen €30 per nacht.5

Oztan staat vermeld als ABHRS-diplomate (2021) en ISHRS Fellow Member, als President van FUE Europe, en als lid van de Asian Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons en de Turkish Medical Association.2
