Dr. Robert H. Dr. True's CV lists two hands-on fellowships early in his hair restoration career: a preceptorship in surgical hair restoration under R.M. Elliott, MD, in Los Angeles, followed by further fellowship training in scalp extension and slot correction under Dr. Patrick Frechet in Paris.1 Because he has since retired, the technique and surgical-planning detail published on the clinic's site today describes Dr. Dorin's current practice rather than Dr. True's own methods, so it is not attributed to him here.2
Credentials and memberships
His medical degree is from McGill University's Faculty of Medicine.1 He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery, and the CV states he served as the board's president.1 He was also a Fellow of the American Board of Family Practice.2 His bio page lists further memberships including an advisory role with the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the American Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons, and the International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons, among others.2
