Hair transplant cost in Canada: what the clinics publish

Most "hair transplant cost Canada" pages are written by clinics selling a procedure, or give one number nobody can trace. This page lists the 17 surgeons in Canada in our directory. 7 of them publish a price on their own website; each figure below links to that page (latest retrieved October 2026). The others give a price only after a consultation, and we say so rather than guess.

Per-graft totals are simple arithmetic on the published rate, before any fixed fees the clinic lists (see what each one includes). Conversions use approximate exchange rates and are for comparison only. The clinic's own quote after assessing you is what counts.

Prices quoted to a patient by email

Some clinics only give prices on request, so a patient asked them. These are their written replies, for the graft count asked about.

What patients reported paying in Canada

11 recent figures patients stated on reddit about doctors and clinics in Canada in our directory, newest first, one per person and at most four per doctor or clinic, each linked to the thread. "Quoted" means the clinic quoted it; "paid" means the patient says they paid it.

Figures from the last two years, as patients wrote them (currency as stated). Not an average and not a price list: graft counts, inclusions and exchange rates differ, and a doctor is named only when the thread names them. For a figure you can rely on, ask the clinic for a written quote.

Surgeons who don't publish a price

These 10 give a price only after a consultation (often from photos). Their profiles show what their sites do say about packages and what is included.

Total trip cost

The procedure is only part of the bill. Pick a doctor whose clinic publishes a price, then add your own flight, hotel and time-off figures. We don't supply those: they depend on where you fly from and when, so use what you found. Amounts are in USD; the graft count comes from the calculator above (3,000).

The procedure line is arithmetic on the clinic's published price, converted at approximate exchange rates. The final quote follows an assessment. Everything else is the figures you entered.

What to compare besides the price

  • Per graft or per package. A package or procedure price without a graft count can't be compared with a per-graft rate until you ask what graft count it covers.
  • What is included. Ask whether the price covers the consultation, medication, aftercare visits and any fixed surgery or facility fees. Where a clinic says, its own wording is shown above.
  • Who performs which step. Ask who does the extraction, the recipient-site incisions and the implantation. Each doctor's profile records what their site says about this.
  • The technique the price is for. Some clinics charge the same for FUE, DHI and sapphire FUE; others price them separately.

Frequently asked

How much is a hair transplant in Canada?

Among the surgeons in Canada in our directory who publish a per-graft price in CAD (3), rates run from CAD 2.50 to CAD 8 per graft. For 3,000 grafts that is about CAD 7,500 to CAD 24,000 before any fixed fees. Package and per-procedure prices are listed above as the clinics publish them.

How much do 5,000 grafts cost in Canada?

Set the slider above to 5,000 to scale every published per-graft price. Not every patient can have 5,000 grafts in one session; that depends on the donor area, and the clinic decides after assessing you.

Is the cheapest clinic a good choice?

Price alone tells you little. Compare what is included and who operates, and read what patients wrote about each surgeon on their profile pages, linked to the original threads.
