Haartransplantatie in de kruin: grafts, groei en resultaten van patiënten

Deze pagina komt van 652 mensen die op reddit (2014 tot 2026) schreven over hun eigen haartransplantatie en wat er met hun kruin gebeurde (de haarwervel achter boven op het hoofd). 471 kregen grafts in de kruin (63 van hen bij een ingreep vooral voor de kruin), 100 plannen de kruin voor een latere sessie en 81 lieten hem weg.

Kort gezegd: van 227 mensen die zeiden hoeveel grafts in de kruin gingen, was het middelste getal 1.000. Na 4 tot 7 maanden zeiden 34 van de 61 mensen die hun kruin beoordeelden dat hij achterliep op de voorkant; na 12 maanden of later waren 20 van de 35 er tevreden over. De meest genoemde reden om te wachten was het advies van een chirurg (49 mensen).

227 mensen zeiden hoeveel van hun grafts in de kruin zelf gingen. De helft kreeg er 1.000 of minder; de aantallen hieronder zijn mensen, elk één keer geteld.

138 mensen zeiden hoe hun kruin er na een bepaald aantal maanden uitzag. Ieder telt één keer, met de laatste melding. "Loopt achter" betekent: de kruin groeide trager dan de voorkant maar kwam nog op.

Waarom mensen de kruin voor later bewaarden

181 mensen hadden dunner haar in de kruin maar lieten hem buiten de ingreep of plannen hem voor een tweede sessie. 105 zeiden waarom:

  • 49: een chirurg raadde aan te wachten of het niet te doen
  • 32: eerst vertrouwen op finasteride of minoxidil
  • 26: de voorkant en haarlijn waren belangrijker
  • 16: donorgrafts sparen

We namen 1.045 meldingen van patiënten in reddit-draadjes over hun eigen transplantatie waarin de kruin genoemd wordt (uit onze verwerking van draadjes per arts), voegden ieders eigen zinnen over de kruin toe, en lieten elke melding lezen en indelen: kruin wel of niet behandeld, grafts in de kruin, hoe de kruin eruitzag en wanneer, en waarom hij werd overgeslagen. We tellen per persoon. Citaten zijn letterlijk overgenomen en gecontroleerd tegen het oorspronkelijke bericht; namen van artsen en klinieken staan niet in de citaten. Gemaakt okt 2026.
